Bernanke's Economy Pep Talk

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke knows that as long as the Democrat controlled Congress continues to push for business punishing taxes and regulations the economy will continue to languish.
The unemployment rate was actually going down in the months just before Obama clinched the nomination in early June of 2008. Remember that the Clinton campaign was on life support during the final weeks. Rush Limbaugh’s “Operation Chaos” encouraged Republican cross-over voters and was partly responsible for the Clinton campaign surviving the final weeks leading up to the finish in June.
For those with short memories, businesses started trimming employees as soon as they felt the election would go to Obama. The following chart illustrates my point and is excerpted from the following web link:

From June 2008 forward the unemployment rate has risen to the current official level of 9.8%. When you add persons no longer looking for work, part-time employed and expired unemployment insurance the ACTUAL RATE is almost 16%.
If Obama, Pelosi and Reid are successful in passing their legislative agenda the U.S. is in for a rough ride for the remainder of the out-of-control Democrat controlled Congress.

Joe Wilson proves the truth hurts!
The beauty of Joe Wilson's emotional "you lie" outburst is that it made me laugh. The best humor always has an element of truth. Also, the look on Speaker Pelosi's face was priceless. President Obama’s facial expressional looked as if he had suddenly passed too close to an open cesspool.
Obama seemed to be a bit shakey with his speech. Maybe he had some jitters about having to deliver the most convincing speech of his term in office. The "you lie" outburst was symbolic of the town hall protests were protestors were almost universally skeptical or downright hostile to the President's plan. Any rational thinking person, most liberals excluded, has to question the veracity of Obama’s pronouncements were he is constantly changing the terminology. First we had the “Government Option” which changed to “Regional Co-Opts” and now to “Insurance Exchange”. The “Regional Co-Opts” will presumably still be in play to help small business, according to Obama.
The public smack down of Governor Palin and Senator McCain was very low class. Does anyone want to guess as to the author of those comments? Rahm Emannuel would be a good guess.
Obama said the Medicare Trust Fund would not be used to fund his health care legislation. Please, where is this Medicare Trust Fund? Perhaps the Medicare Trust Fund is in same place where the Social Security Trust Fund or “lockbox” is held? Are promissory notes from this out-of control Federal government very comforting? Just ask the Chinese government that is sending explicit concerns about our Federal debt, spending, and excess printing of money.
The health care debate rages on with little attention being paid to the real reason for the Democrat’s plan. Democrats want control over the lives and money of as many citizens as possible not to mention the legions of Federal employees needed to administer the plan. Health care nationalization has been the “holy grail” of liberal schemes for generations. Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress is selling their scheme as improved universal health care when in reality it is a blatant power grab where the whole concept is one BIG LIE.
